Swords & Sandals Crusader

"Great game! Found some MAJOR glitches though..."

date: May 13, 2008

Hopefully you'll be able to fix these glitches...

I have discovered two glitches while playing this game; I like to call them the Duplication and ExceedMax Glitches.

Duplication Glitch: If you transfer all of your campaign troops (so that there is only 1 soldier remaining in the campaign army) into a garrison in one of your territories and then your opponent attacks that territory and is defeated, then however many soldiers are in the garrison are duplicated and added to the campaign army.

ExceedMax Glitch: After garrisoning a territory you keep your campaign army on the same territory. Your opponent then attacks that territory and is defeated. However many troops are in the garrison is added to your campaign army and by doing so it will exceed the maximum number of allowed troops in the campaign army.

Both of these glitches can be exploited as much as the player wants. (When I entered the final battle with Arglaxx I had 400 Guards, 200 Champions, 100 Knights, 400 Bowmen, 10 Catapults, and 10 Colossi... and 100% chance of victory.)

A word of advice to a player exploiting the ExceedMax Glitch... always do AutoBattle, never Take the Field... if you do the lag will cause the game to crash.

Happy playing and hopefully you can fix these glitches!

Oh No Spiders!

"Great game!"

submission: Oh No Spiders!

Found a minor glitch though... after killing the spider legs thrashing about in the pool, the black ball which falls from the tree to spawn more spiders didn't fall down on one of my play throughs... I got stuck in that screen and couldn't continue.

Maryn's father is humming the opening theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion... The Cruel Angel's Thesis. For some reason that's just extremely funny.

On a serious note, your animation was superb and the story itself was great.

5/5 10/10 and favorited.

Keep up the good work!

SHIFT 2

"The CC is a lie!!"

submission: SHIFT 2
date: March 19, 2008

Kept me busy for a while trying to earn all the medals to unlock the secrets. I noticed one typo though.... the description to earn the speed runner medal is "beat the game in 5 minutes," 5 minutes is 300 seconds.... however, I earned the speed runner medal when I beat the game in 400 seconds.... perhaps it's not a typo and just another lie....

Oh, and to all the noobs who can't figure out the controls my sugestion is to play the original Shift... and to the ignoramuses who say they are automatically brought to the "last" level try having enough patience to wait more than a couple of seconds before pressing the X in the top right corner of the window and automatically leaving a low scoring review for such an awesome game... if that's not enough help then here is my final bit of advice... the Wall of Death is a Lie!

Canyon Defense

"Awesome game!"

submission: Canyon Defense
date: March 11, 2008

Here's a few ways that it can become even more awesome:

1) Add a level editor... there's just something about destroying baddies on a level we designed ourselves that makes us feel good...

2) Add landmines or other antiground traps that can be built on the canyon floor... only being able to build walls there is a bit boring.

3) Add a kind of "aerial wall" so that when you build it you can force flyers to go where you want instead of them just flying straight over the map.

4) Make an "infinite" mode so that we can play against a limitless supply of enemy waves.

5) Add a save feature... for those people who are unable to complete the levels due to time restrictions. Also, a save feature is a must if you make the above stated "infinite" mode.

Once again, this is an awesome game... a new favorite!

An extremely great game this is, it's kept me busy on an off for a few days now. After beating it, I was especially delighted when I discovered that there are covert levels hidden within the game. Keep making games of this great calibre!

Clock Crew : The Burning

"Impressive"

date: February 11, 2008

Personally, I'm not a fan of any of the Newgrounds flash spamming groups' work, but this was one of those rare exceptions. All areas were exceptional; sound, humor, animation. Overall quality was superb. This just goes to show that the Clocks are capable of producing quality animations if some effort is actually applied. Perhaps your fellow Clocks (and the other spam groups) can learn from you and rise above the need to spam Newgrounds by putting forth the same level of effort into their submissions as was placed into this. I look forward to seeing more submissions of this calibre.

Bravo. Truly magnificent.

5/5 10/10

P.S. The Clocks' faces displaying the actual time was a beautiful effect, and a nice bit of programming too. Good work!

"A minor bug... maybe..."

submission: Sonny
date: January 8, 2008

A ZPCI Hunter at the Beach dropped Ishiguro's Moon-Struck Horrors. I don't know if this was intentional or not, just something I noticed that doesn't make sense.

Otherwise, an awesome game. I was significantly challenged throughout it (something that the best RPGs should do), especially on the Plains and even more so in the Infinity.

I can't wait for the sequel. Hopefully it comes out soon, it's getting a little boring beating Sinjid over and over again... lol...
